November 2025 Update
Washington Eagle Families —
Welcome to November! Leaves are changing, the weather is perfect, and we’ve settled into a great groove here at school. Our students are making great gains and working extremely hard!
Celebration: Quick shout out to Kindergarten! Our goal is to have all letters and sounds mastered by Nov 1. Our district tracks this data and shares out progress updates. Just yesterday we learned that the district average is 95.5% mastered and at Washington we scored 98%, we’re ahead of the district average and our Kindergarten students scored higher than ever before! WOW!! Great job students! Great job Kindergarten Teachers, Paras, and all our reading intervention team who have been helping our students learn their letter names and sounds! Way to go!
Expectation Review – Arrival & Dismissal:
Please remind your student about what our expectations are for arrival and dismissal. Upon arrival your child should place their backpack at their classroom line up spot and once they hear the 8:55am bell, they should hurry to line up and enter the room with their classmates. If they come for breakfast, they should arrive early enough to eat and then make it to their class on time. At dismissal, remind your child to go right to their pick up spot and focus on watching for their pick up ride. Thanks for your help with this!
Dixie Direct Books:
We now have the 2026 Dixie Direct Books available for purchase in our office. An information flyer will be sent home today. Students can earn prizes for selling the books. https://www.
