Can you believe it … school starts tomorrow!! Hooray!
We loved seeing so many of you last night at our Back to School Open House. I’d like to share just a couple of reminders and tidbits of information so we can start strong and have a great school year together!
School Communication – Our school website (https://wes.washk12.org/) will be kept current, it’s a good place to check for general school wide information. We will also be using ClassDojo this year. CLICK HERE to join our school. This is a FREE communication tool for schools (DO NOT pay for any upgrades or add ons). Once you’ve joined our school and your child’s class you should be able to receive all our school communications. We hope that we can keep everyone in the know with all things happening at Washington Elementary!
Arrival and Dismissal – Please be extra cautious and careful as you drive in and around our school. Follow the directions and be aware of your surroundings. Please keep the drop off and loading areas moving, don’t park or leave your car in these areas. If you want to get out of your car to meet your child, park in a designated parking stall. Also, please be extra patient as we all learn and relearn our procedures and get back into the routine of things.
Attendance (On Time ALL Day) – Our early bell rings at 8:55am each day, please have your child here and ready to enter their classroom with their teacher. Please make every effort to schedule appointments and other activities after 3:30pm M-Th and after 12pm on Friday. The best habit and routine is to have on time, all day attendance the norm.
